CLAY COUNTY NONPROFITS HEAR FROM THE NONPROFIT CENTER OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA AT THE REINHOLD FOUNDATION ANNUAL NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST
On October 14th, the Reinhold Foundation gathered nonprofit community leaders for the Foundation's annual fall Nonprofit Leadership Alumni Breakfast. Since 2006, the Reinhold Foundation has invested in strengthening the leadership and capacity of the many diverse and dedicated nonprofit organizations that make Clay County a very special place. The Breakfast unites organizations that have participated in the Foundation's leadership programs taught by Rollins College Edyth Bush Institute, and participants of the Capacity Building for Clay Series produced in partnership with the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida. Overall, more than 100 charitable organizations serving Clay County citizens have participated in a Reinhold Foundation training program.
The guest speaker of the 2025 Nonprofit Leadership Breakfast was Dawn Lockhart, CEO of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida. Dawn inspired the audience with her presentation on "The Power of Collaboration: Rethinking What is Possible.”
The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida is a 400-member organization strengthening the region’s nonprofit sector through advocacy, collaboration, research, and capacity building.
Before joining the Nonprofit Center, Dawn served as the City of Jacksonville’s first Director of Strategic Partnerships, where she built the inaugural office of its kind in the Southeast U.S.—aligning government, philanthropy, and business to drive lasting community impact. Her groundbreaking work earned national recognition from the Council on Foundations and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and was recently featured in a Georgetown University case study.
Earlier in her career, Dawn led Family Foundations of Northeast Florida, helping thousands of families achieve financial stability and housing success.
She has served on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Board of Directors, chaired the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and continues to advise nonprofits nationwide on collective impact strategies.
Today, she is leading the charge to support and strengthen the vital work of nonprofits throughout Northeast Florida.
