CLAY COUNTY NONPROFITS HEAR FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR NORTHEAST FLORIDA AT THE REINHOLD FOUNDATION ANNUAL NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST

On October 15th, the Reinhold Foundation gathered nonprofit community leaders for the Foundation's annual fall Nonprofit Leadership Alumni Breakfast. Since 2006, the Reinhold Foundation has invested in strengthening the leadership and capacity of the many diverse and dedicated nonprofit organizations that make Clay County a very special place. The Breakfast unites organizations that have participated in the Foundation's leadership programs taught by Rollins College Edyth Bush Institute, and participants of the Capacity Building for Clay Series produced in partnership with the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida. Overall, more than 100 charitable organizations serving Clay County citizens have participated in a Reinhold Foundation training program.

The guest speaker of the 2024 Nonprofit Leadership Breakfast was Isaiah M. Oliver, President of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Isaiah inspired the audience with his presentation on "The Community Foundation 101: How We Partner with Donors and Nonprofits.”

Isaiah serves as the third president of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, the oldest and largest community foundation in Florida, with an impressive legacy dating back to 1964. Isaiah leads a skilled team of 30 professionals who manage over $655 million in assets, championing numerous causes and community initiatives.

Isaiah’s commitment to his community is reflected in his wide-ranging roles across various organizations. He is an active member of the Jacksonville Civic Council, Co-Chair of the Jacksonville Transformation Coalition, and Vice-Chair of the City of Jacksonville Homelessness Commission. His leadership extends to the national stage, as he serves as Chair of the CFLeads National Board of Directors and on the boards of the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy and ABFE, among many others.

Still, Isaiah’s influence and passion for enlightened leadership reach even further than local and national efforts. As an inaugural Fellow of the Civil Society Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, he embodies the values of service and civic engagement, always working to drive change for a more just and civil society.

Before moving to Jacksonville, he led the Community Foundation of Greater Flint in Michigan, transforming it into a top 100 community foundation and serving on numerous other boards dedicated to education, healthcare, and economic development.

Today, he is leading the charge to support the vital work of nonprofits and address social issues throughout Northeast Florida.
